Checking for the firmware version on NB9W

  1. Open your browser and enter 192.168.1.1 in your address bar
  2. Enter the username and password of your router. By default it will be Username: "admin" and Password: "admin" or if you have changed this, please enter the new username and password
  3. When you log into the router in the 'Basic' settings you will see the firmware version indicated under 'Software Version'
  4. Please Note: TPG will endeavour to always have the most current set up instructions that reflects the latest firmware. Please always refer to the manufacturers website for the most currentfirmwareupdates

  5. Consult the manufacturer or their site to see if this is the latest version. If not it is recommended that you perform an upgrade. The manufacturer can help with this
  6. Follow the guidelines to configure IPTV on the NB9W

Configuration of IPTV on NB9W

  1. Open your browser and enter 192.168.1.1 in your address bar
  2. Enter the username and password of your router. By default it will be Username: "admin" and Password: "admin" or if you have changed this, please enter the new username and password
  3. Click on 'Advanced' on the left side then click on 'WAN'
  4. Click on 'Add'
  5. In the VPI field type in "0" In the VCI field type in "35" In the Service Category field select "UBR Without PCR". Tick the "Enable Quality of Service" box

    Click 'Next'
  6. Select the "Bridging" option under Connection Type

    Select "LLC/SNAP-BRIDGING" as the encapsulation mode

    Click the 'Next' button
  7. Tick the "Enable Bridge Service" box
  8. Type in "IPTV" as the service name
  9. Click the 'Next' button

  10. Click the 'Save' button

  11. Click the 'Save/Reboot' button

To edit/check the settings for IPTV on NB9W

  1. Open your browser and enter 192.168.1.1 in your address bar
  2. Enter the username and password of your router. By default it will be Username: "admin" and Password: "admin" or if you have changed this, please enter the new username and password
  3. Click on 'Advanced' on the left side then click on 'WAN'.

    Click on 'Edit' for the Service named IPTV

  4. VPI field should be "0"

    VCI field should be "35"

    In the Service Category field select "UBR Without PCR".

    Ensure the "Enable Quality of Service" box is ticked

    Click 'Next'
  5. Check that the "Bridging" option under Connection Type is selected

    Ensure "LLC/SNAP-BRIDGING" is selected as the encapsulation mode

    Click the 'Next' button
  6. "Enable Bridge Service" box should be ticked
  7. Ensure the Service Name is "IPTV"
  8. Click the 'Next' button
  9. Click the 'Save' button
  10. Click the 'Save/Reboot' button

To delete the IPTV profile from NB9W
Please Note: This will not effect your Internet connection

  1. Open your browser and enter 192.168.1.1 in your address bar
  2. Enter the username and password of your router. By default it will be Username: "admin" and Password: "admin" or if you have changed this, please enter the new username and password
  3. Click on 'Advanced' on the left side then click on 'WAN'.

    Tick the box 'Remove' for the IPTV Service then click on 'Remove'

  4. Now follow the instructions to configure IPTV on the router again
