TPG provides mobile coverage by 3G dual band, 3G single band and 2G network based on your location and the capability
of your mobile device.

3G Dual Band Network (UTMS 2100MHz/UTMS900MHz)

The 3G dual band network covers 96% of the Australian population and provides access to a wide variety of service such as voice, SMS, internet browsing, emails, blogging, social networks, applications.

Use of TPG 3G dual band service is only available with compatible handsets and mobile devices, a TPG 3G SIM card and you must be in a 3G dual band coverage area.

3G Single Band Network (UTMS 2100MHz)

More than just your standard mobile service, the 3G Network also gives you the freedom to access voice, SMS and fast data in more places than ever before. The 3G single network operates in Metropolitan and major regional centers and covers 80% of the Australian population.

To access 3G services, you will need a 3G dual band compatible device and a TPG 3G SIM card. When outside the 3G single coverage areas, users can still access the 2G services to send and receive voice and sms messages and access some data applications at slower than 3G speeds.

2G Network (1800MHz/900MHz)

The 2G network covers 96% of the Australian population, and is suitable for customers to make and receive calls and SMS. Data for 2G services will be at GRPS speeds which are slower than 3G speeds.

Customers with 2100Mhz devices that are not 900Mhz compatible will experience GPRS (or Edge, where available) coverage in 3G 900Mhz areas.
